The department鈥檚 strategic plan was approved by faculty members on November 29, 2023. This plan was constructed to be in alignment with the college's and university's strategic plans. Like the university鈥檚 strategic plan, the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders' Two-Year Strategic Plan for 2024 and 2025 [docx] focuses on innovation and distinct experiences that will enhance student-centered learning and engagement, encourage student-faculty collaborations, and prepare students for entry into professional practice.
A new department plan will be developed in alignment with the university's 2026-2031 strategic plan following the Board of Visitors final approval in December 2025.
