PSYC 643: Mental Health Counseling Practicum I
Prerequisites: Graduate status or permission of instructor
Credit Hours: (3)
A supervised practicum in the field of mental health counseling involving a minimum
of 150 hours per semester. A minimum of 20 hours must be direct client contact. Work
experience includes intake procedures, assessments, social histories, crisis intervention.
The student will meet with the program faculty member one and one half hours per week.
