INST 489G: Study Abroad Practicum in Spain
                                 
                                 Prerequisites: Permission of the Spanish program director and the department chair
                                    is required

Available Summer, Fall or Spring. Open to all majors. Students participate in a directed
                                    program of travel study designed to augment a student鈥檚 knowledge of the language,
                                    culture, and literature of Spain. Students will receive a minimum of 15 credit hours
                                    per week of formal language instruction in addition to being involved in a total immersion
                                    living situation. Permission by the department chair required prior to enrollment.
                                    Affiliate programs allow students to maintain RU student status while abroad, thus
                                    allowing them continued access to financial aid and future registration at RU. Students
                                    must complete an RU Study Abroad Registration and course Approval Form outlining courses
                                    to be taken and approved before leaving to study abroad. Grade values are pass/fail,
                                    and the awarding of specific course credit is determined at the conclusion of the
                                    experience and when official transcripts are received by the Registrar鈥檚 Office. Faculty
