This course is designed to deepen your understanding of the principles underlying
elementary mathematics, while also increasing your confidence and competence teaching
and assessing pk-6 mathematics. Developmentally appropriate methods for instruction
and assessment for teaching a diverse pk-6 student populations concepts and skills
in number and operations, geometry, algebra, measurement and probability and statistics
will be explored and practiced.
