Meet Devin LaPuasa 鈥�10, the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery.
LaPuasa's journey into nursing began in third grade following an emergency appendectomy,
during which a nurse's superhero-like presence inspired her to pursue a career in
healthcare.
鈥淲hen I chose nursing, there was no other program I was going to attend,鈥� LaPuasa

12 years of experience in the Emergency Room (ER), LaPuasa advanced to the role of
ER Director in 2021. In February, she embraced the opportunity to serve as CNO.
As CNO, LaPuasa oversees all nursing services at LewisGale, ensuring that frontline
nurses have the necessary resources and support to excel in their roles. She emphasizes

鈥淣ursing is very fulfilling,鈥� LaPuasa said. Despite its challenges, she finds immense
