To apply as a freshman student, please submit the following documents:

Submit official transcripts for all secondary schools and any university/college(s) that you have attended. All transcripts must be in English. Please note that we accept electronic transcripts sent via Parchment, sendEdu, Clearinghouse, Common App, Scribbles and Scoir as official transcripts. If transcripts are submitted electronically through one of these partners, we do not require that you send a paper copy via courier.

For students from Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia Only: Students must submit an official WAEC scratch card.

• Proof of English Proficiency

There are four ways you can meet our English proficiency requirements:

1. Transferring from a US institution.
2. Attended an institution in our list of waiver countries.
3. Submit the results of an acceptable English proficiency test (scores must be within the last two calendar years).

As required by the U.S. government, all international students must submit financial documents as evidence of the ability to pay all tuition, fees and expenses for one full year (less any scholarships). The most common financial documents used as evidence are a bank statement or a bank letter stating the balance on the account. All financial documents must be originals (no faxes, scans or copies will be accepted), in English and no older than six months. Please check the Financial Requirements Form to determine how much the financial statements must show

• Affidavit of Support

If you will be supported by one or more family members or another individual(s), you must also submit an Affidavit of Support for each financial statement submitted. An Affidavit of Support for Dependents is also required for any dependent accompanying you to the USA.

Additional Required Documentation for Exchange Students

This form must be completed by your advisor at your university and sent to Radford University via email at globaled@radford.edu.

• Submit the Exchange Student Course Registration Form

This form is where you submit the courses you plan to take while at ¸£Àûµ¼ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´. You may on our website. When complete, please send the form to globaled@radford.edu.

The Application Process

A prospective student desiring to enter a ¸£Àûµ¼ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´ graduate program should apply using the online application available on the Graduate Admissions website by selecting the Apply Now option. All materials must be submitted in English.

Certain programs use a Centralized Application Service (CAS) for submission of application materials. Programs and associated CAS's are listed below.

Athletic Training (MSAT) –

Application Fee

A non-refundable fee of $50 is required for all graduate degree and certificate programs that is not a CAS program listed above. The application fee varies by CAS program and is also required for admission consideration. There is no application fee required for graduate-level non-degree enrollment eligibility. Application fees must be paid in U.S. dollars and submitted online as part of the application process. An application will not be processed without this fee.

Required Educational Documents

Program specific application requirements must be submitted to supplement all graduate applications. All documents in a language other than English must be accompanied by certified English translations. Translations alone will not be accepted.

• Official transcripts or statement of marks - Applicants must submit an official record for each college or university attended to the Office of Graduate Admissions.  All records from non-U.S. institutions must be certified and translated into English by an evaluation service. International applicants are required to use one of the following credential evaluation services: , , , or .  Applicants are required to select the course-by-course report option from the preferred credential evaluation service.  General reports are not sufficient.
• For students enrolled at a U.S. college, the Transfer Eligibility Form must be completed.
• If you have been out of school for any period of time, other than school breaks, please send a letter that explains if you have been working, attending school, etc., along with the application for admission.
• Confidential statement of Financial Support (see required immigration documents).
• TOEFL/IELTS - (see English Proficiency).

Required Immigration Documents

To have an I-20 prepared, the following documents must be submitted to complete the application process. The I-20 will not be prepared before the application is complete, reviewed by the respective program, and the Office of Graduate Admission has taken favorable action on the application.

• Official bank statement - An original and certified statement dated no more than 12 months prior to the term of entry which states the specific amount of money (in U.S. dollars) immediately available for your first academic year of graduate study must be submitted. The official funds estimate required for I-20 processing for the 2016-2017 academic year is $35,370.  This amount includes tuition, fees, and living expenses. Please note that if you will be participating in either the Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.), Master of Occupational Therapy (M.O.T.), or the Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) program, the estimates are different.  The official funds estimate required for I-20 processing for the 2016-2017 academic year is $37,574 - $45,954 for D.N.P., $53,459 for M.O.T., and $63,782 for D.P.T.  Please note that these amounts are subject to change.
• Letter of Support or Confidential Statement of Financial Support - An official letter of support from your financial sponsor stating the specific amount the sponsor will provide dated no more than 12 months prior to the term of entry.
• If you are transferring from an institution within the U.S., you must have a Transfer Eligibility Form completed by the appropriate Immigration Official or Foreign Student Advisor at the institution you are attending or attended. This form is included with the application.

English Proficiency

International applicants whose native language is not English or have not earned a bachelor's degree or higher from an institution at which English is the primary language of instruction must demonstrate English proficiency prior to admission to the University. Graduate international applicants must submit official TOEFL or IELTS scores if English proficiency is required. Applications may not be reviewed by the departments until English proficiency requirement is met.

A TOEFL minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test or, 79-80 on the Internet-based test is required for admission. A minimum score of 6.5 is required for the IELTS.  The minimum required scores for the TOEFL and IELTS are strictly upheld.  Applicants who do not achieve a minimum score on either of these English proficiency exams will not be considered for admission. Official scores on the TOEFL or IELTS cannot be more than two years old from the term to which the applicant is applying.

Deadlines

Application deadlines are program specific. You are encouraged to apply as early as possible to allow for fullest consideration of your application materials. If you are applying to a program with rolling admissions (no hard deadline), the following are recommended deadlines to complete your application. A complete application includes all academic credentials and supplemental program requirements. Immigration documents are not required for an admission decision but are encouraged to be submitted as early as possible.
